ROMONA RISCOE BENSON serves
as Director of Corporate Relations of Philadelphia Electric Company
(PECO) where she oversees a $5 million contributions budget and leads
PECO's sponsorships, community partnerships, employee engagement, and
event and sports facility management programs. She has more than 25
years’ experience in strategic leadership in the areas of programming,
marketing, community affairs, museum management, event and convention
planning, tourism and promotion. Previously, she served as
the President and Chief Executive Officer of the African American
Museum in Philadelphia; Executive Director of the PCVB's Philadelphia Multicultural
Affairs Congress, where she produced the PECO Jazz Festival; and Senior
Director of Visitor Services and Community Relations with the New
Jersey State Aquarium.
is a well-known jazz vocalist and has been performing in Pittsburgh and
Philadelphia for over 30 years. She has been a Director of Mid-Atlantic
Arts Foundation (Inc) since May, 2015, and serves as a Member of
Airport Advisory Board of Philadelphia International Airport.
KEVIN DOW is the Senior Vice President of Impact and Innovation at United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, where he leads the regional Impact agenda, developing and executing strategies that address critical needs in local communities to improve education, income, and health in nine counties across Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey. Prior to joining United Way, Dow served for five years as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Deputy Commerce Director for the City of Philadelphia’s Commerce Department, and worked in both financial services and community investment at Wachovia Corporation.
Dow currently sits on a number of nonprofit boards, including the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, Local Initiatives Support Corporation, Multicultural Affairs Congress, and Philadelphia Academies Inc. A native Philadelphian, Dow is a proud graduate of Central High School. He holds a B.A. in Finance from Morehouse College and an M.B.A. in Management from Saint Joseph’s University
